Being Free

True Freedom does not mean license to do what you want. It means allowing Truth to run your life. Allowing the unknowability of Truth in your life is Wisdom. It allows you to put down the baggage of obsessive planning and just be.

You can’t know what’s next, so try to embrace this not-knowing instead of fighting it. Then you can be more in the Now.

In the Now, you cannot know who you are; you can only be who you are. Wisdom moves, and you are That. This Freedom allows things to come to you: ideas, schemes, plans—whatever.

But they come to you now.

Instead of seeking to know what’s next, be the change you want to see, now. Allow not-knowing to bring you more deeply into the present moment.

Be courageous enough to not-know what’s next, and you will allow what is to be, unfolding from within you. It is all that you need to bring you what you want:

Being. Freedom. Now.

“Allowing the unknowability of Truth in your life is Wisdom. It allows you to put down the baggage of obsessive planning and just be.”

I feel the truth of that as I read it, sit with it. Tears come to my eyes.

And I feel the terror of letting go in that way. It’s stronger than any sense of freedom I might feel. Seems to be no in between “control freak” and “apathetic/irresponsible,” not knowing what it is to truly allow unknowing.

I hear the words, and feel the struggle within against them.
