Embracing the Temporary

He who binds to himself a joy
Does the winged life destroy.
But he who kisses the joy as it flies
Lives in eternity’s sunrise.
— “Eternity,” by William Blake

Everything changes. What does not change is your awareness.

The content changes, but your awareness does not.

Like a clear Space that allows things to be, awareness watches things pass and does not cling.

Clinging to what passes causes pain, because it inevitably fades from view.

When you cease clinging, the Light of Eternity dawns in your awareness. The Light of Eternity is your true nature, already.

Just let go.

Thoughts pass. Experiences pass. Bodies pass.

You are not your mind. You are not your experience. You are not your body.

You do not pass, but are the Witnesser of all that passes.

The only thing real about the world is your awareness being reflected back to Itself.

It’s beautiful. It enjoys Itself, like light being reflected off of waves.

This is what you are.

Be still and allow the Truth to reveal Itself to you.
